Need for Speed Most Wanted gives you the opportunity to plunge into the world of illegal street races and police chases. You can play both for traffic offenders and on the side of law enforcement officers. This is an open world arcade racing game. Users are allowed to choose the order of the competition themselves.
The release contains not the original NFS Most Wanted, which was released in 2005, but its 2012 relaunch. The developers moved the scene to the city of Fairhaven and completely removed the storyline. Also, the creators abandoned garages. In terms of gameplay, the project is closer to another racing series – Burnout Paradise.
There are several types of activities in this sandbox. You can become the best cop, defeat the ten most dangerous reckless drivers, break all billboards, drive through all photo radars and get all cars. Cars are not bought here, but are located. Cars are hidden in a variety of places. And in order to transfer to them, you just need to drive up to them on your current transport. To repaint it, you need to find a pit stop. But the color will be chosen randomly. The tuning system has also changed. From now on, to improve the body, chassis, nitro, transmission, tires for a particular car, you need to go through the corresponding competition on it. For each car (and there are 64 of them) there are 5 such events. Points are also awarded as a reward for winning. They are needed to unlock content (the ability to complete the single player mode).
There are 4 types of trips:
- Roundabout – the name speaks for itself, you need to be at the finish line first on the last lap;
- Sprint – here you need to take a leading position and get from point A to B before competitors;
- Takeoff run – here the user is offered to properly accelerate and achieve the highest average speed;
- Ambush – a gamer is given a certain time, during which he needs to escape from law enforcement officers.
